Bad Poety Alien

Bad Poety Alien is a crazed character from around 2006

He swoops out of the sky in his flying saucer and recites really bad slam poetry on his unwilling audiences everywhere.

I have all his poems in a sketchbook somewhere around here and I'm determined to find them this week.. get ready for the onslaught.

Art Farm 4 (good times!)

Art Farm 4 in West Seattle last night.
A bunch of us did some live painting, it was seriously a blast.

I got the bulk of three paintings almost finished.
I was planning on doing a lot more than that, but I didn't have time to grab more canvases.

Great energy out there, I'm so stoked to be working on all these different projects with some seriously amazing new friends. YAYER!!

I'm super inspired and motivated!! YOW!

my ongoing battle

I've had an epic battle with my windshield wipers going on two years now..

I'm getting real tired of it too

they're always running into each other and getting bent up and destroyed... it's ridiculous.

c'mon windshield wipers.. truce! please!!!

I hate this fight

I'm willing to forgive and forget..
so, let's do it

or I will fight you to the death

I'm tired of this dino-free life

FACT:
humans are boring...
dinosaurs aren't

I'm tired of this fucking planet not having a resurrection of the dinosaurs

c'mon science
make this happen NOW!!

I WANT TO SEE SOME DINOSAURS! PRONTO!!

Science.. Please!! watch Jurassic Park and take notes..

MAKE THIS HAPPEN.

I'm going on a fast until someone brings the dinosaurs back...
I'm tired of this

I have to keep it real

new simple buffalo prints

a new friendlier ghost

I had a plan for after I die.

I always wanted to haunt an AM/PM candy isle or a port-a-potty on a remote trail on a mountain somewhere..

I had a dream and it was to make the afterlife fun by haunting a place that's unexpected.

good times!

I had to modify it this week..
through the advice of a friend.

When that time comes and I become a ghost... I have new mission.

I'm going to float around and come up next to a person.

I'll put a comforting, gentle hand on their back...

and whisper in their ear.

"you're beautiful and you're doing a great job"

I like this new mission

Haunting places and people is a little overrated anyway.

Ryan "Henry" Ward collaboration paintings

I went over to Ryan's last night to hang out with some good friends and do some painting.

He has a show opening this Saturday at the BalMar in Ballard, it's part of the Ballard Artwalk.
All the pieces in the show are collaborations, good times!

I don't know all the artists involved, but I painted with
Ryan "Henry" Ward, Xavier Lopez Jr. and Corina Sugarman.
It was awesome!

I think he's calling the show "happy times after the lobotomy"

art jam

Narboo, Brynk and I had a crazy art jam tonight... oh YEAH!!
It was so productive and fun, I loved it!

I crave doing stuff like this.

good times!

the opposite of a sippycup... a pissycup

I used to live on Beacon Hill in a house I named the "Fight Club" house, the house was falling apart at the seams and on top of that it was completely haunted.. good times!

It was a two story house and I lived upstairs in the attic.
My roommate and I had a falling out and it was a little uncomfortable living there, I made it my mission not to get in his way.. I just avoided that dude.

I would go on a walk down to Georgetown every night, I loved it! My destination was the convenience store in the heart of Georgetown... hands down the greatest convenience store on the planet earth.
I'd always get my two standard Coors Light tall cans and head back home.

I'd get those beautiful silver babies home and drink 'em while I painted up on some canvases.

I got sick and tired of having to haul my ass up and down the sketchy, super steep stairs in the house... just to take a piss.
SO.. logical conclusion.... piss out the window upstairs.

It started out with me just pissing straight onto the roof.. YES!! great idea.
That is until the weather got warmer, then it started smelling like a Pioneer Square alley around that place.

I came up with a new idea.
I designated one cup, one cup that I would never drink out of again...

that cup was instantly, magically transformed into the PISSYCUP.

I would piss in the cup, lean out my window as far as I could and throw the piss out into the yard.. HELL YES!!! and it worked awesome.

Shortly before I moved out of that place, I was walking home from Georgetown and I looked at the lawn in front of the house. There was one long patch of grass that was super lush and vibrant green, that was the patch of grass that was receiving all those essential nutrients provided by me and the pissycup.
That moment is one of my favorite memories of all time

new buffalo

the buffalo is definitely the most important symbol that I make in my work.

I woke up today with an electric current of inspiration coursing through my veins.
that happens to me a lot, it's a little overwhelming sometimes.
I have to flow it through me and get it out into some work quick.

It makes me feel fragile sometimes, like I won't be able to keep up with it. At the same time, I will feel incredible strength from it, it's hard to explain.. someday I'll find the words.

there is so much more to do

I'm thankful for this beautiful, brand-new day!

one of many new ones to come
